The KRÜSS ABBE refractometers measure the refractive index over the limiting angle of total internal reflection. Both the AR4 model and the AR2008 model are both analog ABBE refractometers. On both devices, the light/dark boundary line is set on the reticle by the user. The AR2008 has a digital measurement display and the transmission to the interface is also digital.
